Idaho Public Television Wins Three Regional Emmy Awards

Idaho Public Television won three Northwest Regional Emmy Awards Saturday at the National Academy of Television Arts & Science (NATAS) Northwest Chapter’s banquet near Seattle.

The winners are:

  • D4K 10th Anniversary in the Children/Youth (12 and Under)-Program/Special category — Joan Cartan-Hansen, host/producer; Sue Nass, contributing producer; Mare Morris, videographer.
  • OUTDOOR IDAHO “Adventure Racing” in the Sports-Program Series category; Thanh Tan, producer/writer.
  • OUTDOOR IDAHO “Wolves in Idaho” in the Public/Current/Community Affairs — Program/Special category; Bruce Reichert, executive producer.

The Northwest Chapter of NATAS serves television professionals in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Montana. In addition to the awards, the chapter provides seminars, programs and networking, plus scholarships for tomorrow’s television leaders.

IdahoPTV is a statewide public television system with transmitters in Coeur d’Alene, Moscow, Boise, Twin Falls and Pocatello-Idaho Falls, plus a network of 42 translators to extend the signal beyond the transmitter areas.
