Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!  "Maps/Termite Towers"  Maps - Nick and Sally are pretending to be pirates. The Cat takes them on a real pirate adventure by following a treasure map! They use landmarks to find their way to a real pirate treasure: parchment paper and ink pens to make their own pirate maps! Termite Towers - Sally and Nick just can't seem to keep their block tower from toppling over. The Cat in the Hat takes them to meet some expert tower builders: the termites! After shrinking down to bug-size, they learn from Terry termite how to build a tower that won't wiggle and wobble. D

Wild Kratts  "Mystery of the Squirmy Wormy"  Aviva miniaturizes Chris and Martin for an underground mission with earthworms, in search of the answer to the mystery "Why do worms come above ground when it rains?" But they have to hurry, as they soon discover that life as a worm is full of dangers at every turn. Science Concept: Wet objects can be changed by heating and cooling. If a worm is left in the hot sun, their skin will dry up and they will die. D

The Desert Speaks  "Costal Civilizations of Ancient Peru"  This episode surveys some of the enormous adobe pyramids that still tower over the vast Peruvian countryside. South American archaeological expert Axel Nielsen guides host David Yetman through the premier museum of South America, the Royal Tombs of Sipan, which house some of the richest gold artifacts in the world. From there, they trek to Huaca del Sol and Huaca del Luna, immense pyramids that emphasize the duality and symbolism of the pre-Incan societies. D

Outdoor Idaho  "Canyonlands Calling"  Cameras roam desert expanses, narrow canyons, mountains and rock formations of the southwest corner of Idaho. Participants reveal how eight years of collaborative effort among many interests can culminate in the federal Owyhee Initiative that includes many uses, including designated wilderness.G
